Our team spotlights are back; we have welcomed several new team members over the past few weeks. You will have the chance to discover new profiles and personalities. Today, we are introducing Jessica, who is a sales administration assistant at our company.
Jessica's educational background and professional life
In 2013, Jessica began her first year of a high school diploma in Economics and Social Sciences, but chose to leave that track to switch to the STMG specialty (Management and Business Science and Technology). This change of path was aimed at specializing in the business world. In 2016, she earned her diploma and decided to prepare for a DCG, a degree in Accounting and Management. She pursued this degree through a work-study program at an accounting firm. Finding the work too repetitive, it did not reflect the career she envisioned for her future. She decided to resign and move into the sales sector.
As months passed, her priorities shifted, and the desire to become a mother grew very strong. Her family was about to grow, and Jessica dedicated herself to her new role for two years. After those two years, she returned to the workforce and started in the restaurant industry. Two years later, Covid-19 appeared, bringing all the upheaval we experienced. The lockdown and the difficult period we went through became a source of reflection for Jessica. She decided to return to her studies and began a BTS GPME: Management of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises. Choosing a work-study program was an obvious decision, and in September 2020, she began preparing for this degree at a garage. Her duties were very varied; she handled invoicing, managed schedules, oversaw supplier relations, and handled day-to-day accounting. This experience was significant for Jessica; it was here she realized that versatility was essential for her. Despite the supportive environment at the garage, the experience ended in August 2022 because there were no internal opportunities for a permanent contract. Jessica saw this as an opportunity to continue her studies. She then joined a Bachelor RDUC program: Manager of Commercial Units. The company hosting her for this work-study program specialized in mobile home maintenance. After three or four months, Jessica realized this specialty did not meet her expectations. Indeed, the sales and marketing focus was too heavy compared to her desire to center her career on business management. In January 2023, Jessica resigned and decided to stop her studies for good. In March 2023, she took on a temporary assignment until December 2023. This role was at a company specializing in crane assembly and disassembly. The daily tasks were similar to those she had during her BTS. Jessica enjoyed this position and, at the end of the contract, sought similar roles in a company that would offer her versatility and a supportive environment.
It was then in June 2024 that Jessica joined us. She works daily in the customer service department managed by Magalie and carries out various tasks in customer follow-up and daily accounting. The supportive environment, versatility, and autonomy she experiences every day mean that Jessica is thriving in her position. She is very happy to have joined the company to be part of our highly innovative project.
Jessica's personality and passions
Jessica's personality is shaped by several character traits. First, she demonstrates great resilience and manages to bounce back from the various challenges life throws her way. She is also indecisive, sensitive, creative, and impulsive. She is someone who struggles to sit still and needs to keep busy and keep her hands occupied. She is also very organized, both in her private and professional life.
Jessica is very creative and loves testing out many activities. She has a very strong passion for writing. This passion was born in middle school when their teacher asked them to write a poem as part of the curriculum. At the time, like many teenagers, Jessica was dealing with various struggles and realized that writing was a great way to release the things impacting her mental health. Over the years, this passion grew, and she opened herself up to various types of writing, such as romance and fantasy. Today, writing is a major part of her life, and she has a goal to be published. During our conversation, Jessica revealed her current project, which consists of 5 volumes featuring various characters.
Writing is not her only passion; she also has a love for art through drawing, painting, and graphic design. She also enjoys embroidery. Her hobbies aren't just manual, though. In fact, Jessica is passionate about Formula 1. This passion was born in her childhood, watching her father watch races on television. Like many, she watched the Formula 1 series on Netflix, but for her, the passion is experienced through the races she watches during Grand Prix weekends. Over the years, this passion has become something she shares with several members of her family. She, her father, and her brother plan to attend a race together to share their collective passion.
Finally, Jessica loves music. She listens to music that resonates with her mind and influences her writing, but also enjoys various styles like pop, rock, punk-rock, and metalcore.
We couldn't end this article without mentioning her daughter Julianna, who is truly the driving force of her life. She gives Jessica real strength to move forward and make the right decisions. Jessica is a woman who craves independence; she doesn't want to have to answer to anyone and is working hard to achieve her goals without depending on others. We hope you enjoyed this new episode of our team spotlights, and we look forward to seeing you soon to discover another member of the Deemply team.
