Team profile: Magalie, Director of Operations

In this new article, we’re putting the spotlight on Magalie, who heads up our customer service and training departments. Read on to learn more about her professional background and her personality.

A career rich in experience

Magalie joined Deemply in October 2020. Working in the security sector was a completely new experience for her, as she had previously spent nearly 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry. During that time, she held various roles involving team management, training, and customer relations.

Over the years, Magalie gradually took on more responsibilities. By the end of her time there, she was managing a team of 42 people on a daily basis. Although the job was very rewarding, she decided to give her career a fresh start and find something closer to home. The hour-long daily commute was becoming a burden and no longer aligned with her personal goals.

It was during this decision-making process that she spotted a job opening posted by Jérôme and Stéphane, the two founders of Deemply.

When she read the job description, it immediately resonated with her. The role was a perfect match for the work she wanted to do, and the qualities required were exactly the ones she possessed.

Meeting the founders confirmed her initial impression. Beyond her skills, which were a perfect fit for the company's needs, it was the management's genuine kindness that convinced her to join the team.

When she arrived, the team wasn't fully formed yet, so she saw the challenge of working in a company of this size within an innovative market. Today, Magalie is building her own team and managing both the support and training departments. As she puts it, it’s great to be part of a company where you can actively contribute to its growth and see its progress firsthand.

Despite the change in industry, Magalie stays well-informed about the pharmaceutical sector. When the team needs advice, we often turn to her for her perspective.

Who is Magalie outside of work?

Coming from a large family, she is very close to her relatives, and her inner circle also includes a small, tight-knit group of friends who mean the world to her. Everyone around her is essential to her well-being and balance.

In both her private and professional life, Magalie is a very principled and loyal person. She lives life to the fullest and does what it takes to achieve her dreams. Significant personal experiences have taught her exactly what she wants; she refuses to be a spectator and is always the driving force in her own life.

She is a loving mother to two boys who are passionate about rugby. Since the sport is so important to the family, it quickly became a shared passion. She and her husband are very involved in their children's sporting lives. Weekends are often centered around matches, and the rest of the week is kept busy with training sessions.

Magalie is an unconditional fan of the French singer Calogero. The team can certainly vouch for her dedication—she’s the type of person who won't hesitate to wait all day just to be in the front row at a concert.

If we had to define Magalie, we’d say she is generous and always ready to help. She is a central pillar of the company, acting as the vital link between you and our support teams, such as development and marketing.
